Meet Dr. Rand

Dr. Matthew Rand, an esteemed oral surgeon, specializes in a comprehensive array of procedures, encompassing corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma repair, oral pathology, TMJ treatment, CT-guided dental implant surgery, bone grafting, and intricate dental alveolar surgery under intravenous conscious sedation and general anesthesia. His expertise extends to pre-prosthetic surgery, ridge augmentation, soft tissue grafting, sinus lift surgery, and exposure of teeth for orthodontic purposes.

A distinguished professional, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a major in Psychology and Chemistry. His academic journey continued with Summa Cum Laude honors at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where he engaged in a research fellowship at the National Institute of Health/National Cancer Institute Surgery Branch through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholars Program.

Throughout dental school, Dr. Rand garnered numerous accolades for academic excellence, including the esteemed Robert E. O’Neil Prize in Oral Surgery and the American Academy of Oral Medicine Award. He furthered his education at the University of Michigan Medical School, obtaining his Medical Degree, and completed extensive training in General Surgery, Adult and Pediatric Anesthesia, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan Hospital. Additionally, he successfully completed a one-year Microvascular Training Program at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Rand has contributed as a coauthor to publications like the Journal of Dental Research and maintains active membership in professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Miami Society for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Chalmers J. Lyons Academy. Committed to community service, Dr. Rand dedicates his expertise to providing oral surgery for those without access to dental care at the Community Health Center of West Palm Beach.

Expressing his passion for transforming smiles, Dr. Rand collaborates with The Center Of Specialized Dentistry to ensure patients receive optimal care. Currently open to new patients, Dr. Rand invites individuals seeking his specialized services to benefit from his extensive experience and commitment to dental excellence.
